| | Course Objectives | The course provides an overview of Singapore’s Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems. At the end of the course, participants are expected to share their learning journeys and action plans to adopt and adapt key strategies and features of the Singapore TVET system for their own institutions.
| | Course Synopsis & Methodology | This will be carried out through a 5-day programme comprising sharing sessions, interactions and site visits.
The course consists of five main components:
- Overview of TVET in Singapore
- Singapore’s education system
- Technical education college management
- Institutional management, resource development, and financial management
- Singapore’s technical education management and educational systems in response to the changing needs of industries
- Approaches in TVET
- Curriculum design and development
- Pedagogy model and training
- Educational technology
- Student development and management
- Assessment system
- Engaging partners and stakeholders
- Visits to ITE institutions and other tertiary education institutions e.g. polytechnics and universities
- Sharing sessions with technical institute management and teaching staff management and teaching staff
- Formal and informal sharing sessions with teaching and management staff on TVET
| | Participant Profile | Applicants should be:
- Principals, senior management of TVET institutions or government / education ministry officials in charge of TVET development
- Nominated by their respective Governments
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- In good health

| | Course Objectives | The course examines the development of education policies and key strategic education reforms in Singapore. Case studies will also be used to assess and compare the challenges of implementing education policies in Singapore.
| | Course Synopsis & Methodology | Using the best mix of adult learning methodologies, this programme will be highly interactive and experiential. Besides formal lectures, activities include open discussions, group work, exercises, experiential activities and other learning methodologies. Participants will have adequate opportunities to share their experiences, learning points and challenges. Relevant learning journeys will also be included to allow participants to gain valuable insights into Singapore’s public sector experience in public schools.

- Mid to senior level government officials (Deputy Head and above) who are currently involved in education policies and frameworks
- Nominated by their respective Governments
- Proficient in spoken and written English
