| | Course Objectives | The course aims to share modern healthcare management theories and practices in Singapore, and to equip participants with critical knowledge and skills to manage hospitals.
| | Course Synopsis & Methodology | The course will comprise lectures, case studies and a site visit to one of Singapore’s globally renowned Joint Commission International-accredited hospitals.
The topics include:
- Overview of the Singapore healthcare system
- Healthcare financing
- Implementation of integrated management systems
- Hospital service quality management
- Measuring, decoding, and improving patient satisfaction
- Hospital operations management
- Continuous improvement in hospitals using a Plan-Do-Check- Act (PDCA) management model
| | Participant Profile | Applicants should be:
- Of at least managerial level (Directors/ Deputy Directors/Heads of Department)
- Leaders in the healthcare industry, administrators and heads of departments of hospitals
- Nominated by their respective Governments
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- In good health

| | Course Objectives | The course aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge on policies and regulatory frameworks for the development and management of healthcare, chronic disease management, as well as pandemic preparedness in Singapore.
| | Course Synopsis & Methodology | The topics include:
- Basic concepts of Singapore’s healthcare plans, policies and road map
- Singapore’s policy frameworks for institutionalising sound practices of healthcare systems in the public and private sectors
- Importance of emergency preparedness, mitigation, and the significance of adaptive approaches taken collectively for both communicable and non-communicable diseases
- Singapore’s experiences during pandemic outbreaks, such as Avian Influenza, and in particular Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)
- Various types of efficient healthcare plans, related principles, and application issues
- Healthcare planning and treatment measures, as well as hospital administration and management
